This month its Nasturtiums...
Their flowers seem to be on the plates of many a chef these days and not just because they are beautiful but because they've got great taste too. Their intense peppery flavour earned them the Latin name 'Tropaeolum" which literally means 'nose tweaker' and if you've ever had the pleasure of trying one you'll know why. This year our salad bags have seen plenty of the Nasturtium leaves in the mix and they've received great reviews from our customers. The flowers and leaves will definitely be a feature next year... you might also find us selling a few jars of the pickled seed heads which are known as 'poor mans capers' and are anything but!
